西畫社「2008年春季西畫展」要點 
What members need to know about our 2008 spring fine arts exhibition

1. 地點：僑教中心
Exhibition location: Chinese Culture Center, 10303 Westoffice, Houston, TX 77042

2. 日期：二零零八年五月三日（週六）至十三日（週二）
Exhibition date: May 3 (Saturday) to 13 (Tuesday), 2008

3. 時間：上午九時三十分至下午三時三十分，週一休息
Exhibition hours: 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, Closed on Monday.

4. 掛畫：五月二日（週五）下午一時開始，先到先掛為原則。義務掛畫者決定掛畫位置。請踴躍做掛畫義工
Artwork hanging: Starting at 1 pm May 2 (Friday). Volunteers needed to help hang. The volunteer has the final say as to where any given artwork to be hung.

5. 揭幕：五月三日（週六）上午十時三十分，請邀請您的親友出席
The opening ceremony starts at 10:30 am, May 3.  Please invite your family and friends to attend.

6. 閉幕取畫：五月十三日（週二）下午三時半
The exhibition ends on May 13 at 3:30 pm. Please remove your painting then.

7. 值班：上午九時半至中午十二時半為早班，十二時半至下午三時半為午班，每班二人(週五下午、週六、和週日每班可以有三人)，請踴躍參與，參展會員請值班，畫社老師和七十 五歲以上的會員可以不值班
On duty: Two shifts per day, the morning shift from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, and the afternoon shift from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm. The exhibition participants are expected to sign up, unless they are volunteer teachers or senior members over 75.

8. 每人展出二幅，大小不拘，曾在僑教中心展過的作品不宜再展，如果還有展覽空間時，可以掛第三幅
Each member may display up to two pieces of his/her artwork of any size. Additional one may be displayed if extra exhibition space is available.

9. 可以標價，或附聯絡電話號碼
You may offer to sell your paintings by listing your price or attaching your telephone number to your artwork tag

10. 參展者要確定作品可以掛上，需要代訂掛畫所需的零件者，請交工費五元
Be sure that your artwork is ready for hanging. . If it is not presentable, there will be a $5 charge for getting any necessary work done.

11. 畫展之前要製作中英文目錄，內容包括姓名、作品名稱、大小尺寸、使用顏料種類，請將以上資料於四月二十四日以前告知，以使製作及附印
Please submit your artwork information for exhibition brochure and artwork tag, including" artist's name", " artwork's title", "medium used", and "size in inches" before April 24.

12. 畫展目錄不附照片，但是畫社網站將公佈展出作品的照片，要展出的作品請儘早用數位照相（如果需要代照，請於四月三、十、或十七日週四集會的時間帶作品來 ，四月二十四日春季郊遊，當天帶來亦可）
Please submit digital pictures of your artwork, or bring your artwork to Thursday's weekly meeting  (April 3, 10,or 17) for photographing. You could bring them for photographing on 4/24 when we will have our spring field trip. The photos will be used for HCAPC web site posting.

13. 說明卡以三乘五英吋為原則，用中英文標示作品名稱、作者姓名、及顏料種類
Each artwork has a 3”x5”  tag attached, listing " artist's name, artwork's title and size, and medium used" in both Chinese and English.

14. 如果你有其他多餘的作品要賣的話，請於五月二日下午掛畫時帶來，放進一個收集箱內，並請附上作者姓名及賣價，這些作品以小幅、不裝框、低價、20%捐給畫社為原則
You may sell your "overstocked" artwork during exhibition. They will be placed in a collection box. (preferably small-sized, unframed, low-priced, 20% of proceeds donated to HCAPC)
